The Hawks Go For 11 Tonight

Tonight the Chicago Blackhawks will be going for their 11th consecutive win. It got me to thinking… Seems like it’s time for me to push my life to 11 ala Nigel Tufnel!

I Think It’s My Time Too

What exactly does this mean? It means I could:

  • leave 11 seconds left on the microwave (I currently leave 2)
  • rate things on a scale of 1-11
  • stay awake for an additional 11 minutes each day (resulting in a .01% increase in productivity)
  • ride faster on my way to work (cut 3:30 off my commute each day or increase my speed by 1.65 mph)
  • contact Budweiser and recommend the 13.32 oz can

Hmmm… in the spirit of tormenting Dax Bakken I really like the first and last items on the list. Leaving 11 seconds on the microwave is pure genius. And the 13.32 oz can would be ideal for the 14 can 12 pack (2 rows of 7 D-Bakk?)

Who Lives Their Life At 11?

Who lives at 11… Good question right? I had to put on my thinking cap and really give this some thought. The obvious thought is rock stars, actors/actresses, etc. Basically, anyone with lots of money? I think there are more people than that living at 11. What about guys like Bear Grylls or Jens Voigt? What about regular people who are just meeting their own goals? Living their own dreams? What about a regular guy like Larry Fitzgerald?

Larry Fitzgerald might not quite be a regular guy, but he is certainly someone living life at 11! Woo Baby!

Life At 11

The bottom line is that we could all do things to take our lives to the next level.

If you’re the Chicago Blackhawks you make roster moves,  you tinker with the line combinations and you hope that Kane, Toews and Crawford (Crow My God!) can continue to carry the team to the promised land.

If you’re a regular guy taking your life to the next level… Life at 11 is the goal, the mission and where you want to be. Bring it on!
