If you’re any sort of music fan you’re aware of the number of bands who have made it coming out of San Francisco, CA. I’ve included a list of some of my favorites below (bottom of the page), but before we get off track let’s just say the list is significant. Of course, Metallica is my favorite.
Metallica Night
I think it’s really cool that the Giants have bands like Metallica play the national anthem, throw out the first pitch and then entertain the game crowd with a song or two during the 7th inning stretch. I believe if you buy tickets in the Metallica sections of the park you get hats or t-shirts or something.
I think the Brewers do a good job with “in game” entertainment, but they don’t have anyone like Metallica playing. Actually, not sure I’ve ever seen a band play at Miller Park. Just the same, the Crew does a good job.
For Metallica night the Giants also have some pretty cool gear. I own a couple of the hats and this year I noticed beanies. Not sure how you’d get the custom Metallica jerseys, but I’m sure there is a way.
Metallica seems to do the Giants right too by playing the custom painted Giants guitars, and the music blares through the custom painted speakers (they look like baseball jerseys) with the Marshall Amps sitting atop.
