10th Consecutive Win Powered by Kane’s 1st Regular Season Hat Trick

You could say the Hawks are on a roll, but you’d be underselling their streak. Yes, a 10 game winning streak is awesome, but considering the off-season salary cap purge, a ton of roster moves and the constant line juggling to figure out who belongs where… pretty impressive.

Chicago last lost 2-1 on Dec 27, 2015 to the Carolina Hurricanes. Since that time Chelsea has been money! 10 wins and a move in the stats from 5th to 1st. Go Hawks!

Patrick Kane

Not lost in last night’s 10th win was Patrick Kane’s first regular season hat trick. Yes, you read that correctly. Kaner scored his first regular season hat trick. 623 games, 233 goals, 391 assists and 624 points. The point a game scoring machine just scored his first regular season hat trick.

For the record, Mr. Kane has 2 playoff hat tricks (2009, 2013), but prior to last night… no regular season hat trick.

Looking Forward

So as we look forward to the remainder of the regular season… The Hawks are in 1st place and Patrick Kane is leading the way. Kaner currently leads the league in scoring:

Games: 47
Goals: 28
Assists: 39
Points: 67

The Hawks 64 points are the 2nd most in the league behind Washington’s 69. Things look good from where I sit. I’ll continue flying my flag every game day.

I realize there is a long way to go before the games really count. Time to maintain optimism and enjoy the ride!
